§ 10-44. Adopted; definitions.

(a)

Adopted by reference. There is hereby adopted by the city and made a part of this Code by reference the latest editions of the technical housing codes as adopted and amended by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 8-2-20.

(b)

Definitions within adopted codes. The following words, terms, and phrases, when used in the housing codes adopted by subsection (a) of this section, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this subsection:

Applicable governing body shall mean the city commission.

Housing board of adjustments and appeals shall mean the city board of adjustments.

Housing official shall mean the head of the city planning department of the city who is designated city planner and also building inspector.
