§ 12-43. General requirements and restrictions.
(a)
Any person registered to conduct a business or conduct the practice of a profession under the provisions of this Code shall be subject to the following regulations:
(1)
No one may have an open alcoholic beverage container in any part of any building in which a business or profession is conducted in which customers, clients, patients, or other patrons are dealt with by the licensee or agent or employee of the registrant, except as permitted by other provisions of this Code.
(2)
No one may consume an alcoholic beverage in any part of any building in which a business or profession is conducted in which customers, clients, patients, or other patrons are dealt with by the registrant or agent or employee of the registrant, except as permitted by other provisions of this Code.
(3)
No registrant or agent or employee of a registrant shall permit any other person to have an open alcoholic beverage container or consume an alcoholic beverage in any part of any building in which a business or profession is conducted in which customers, clients, patients, or other patrons are dealt with by the registrant or agent or employee of the registrant, except as permitted by other provisions of this Code.
(4)
No registrant or agent or employee of a registrant shall permit any other person to have, use or consume marijuana or any other drug other than medicine legally prescribed for the user in a game room or pool room or in any part of any building in which a business or profession is conducted in which customers, clients, patients, or other patrons are dealt with by the registrant or an agent or employee of the registrant.
(5)
All registrants and agents and employees of registrants shall supervise their businesses closely enough to be able to observe any gambling that occurs on the premises of such businesses.
(6)
No registrant or agent or employee of a registrant shall allow the commission of any crime on the premises of the business or profession conducted by the registrant, and all registrants and their agents or employees shall report any crime committed on the premises of such businesses or professions to the police department.
(7)
No registrant or employee of a registrant shall permit gambling in any part of any building in which a business or profession is conducted in which customers, clients, patients or other patrons are dealt with by the registrant or his/her agent or employee.
(8)
No one may gamble at any place on the business premises of registrant.
(b)
These regulations are supplementary to and cumulative of all other regulations now, or hereafter contained in this chapter or elsewhere in this Code.
