§ 22-27. Registration of operator.

  • (a)

    Every person engaging or about to engage in business as an operator of a motel in the city shall immediately register with the secretary of the city commission on a form provided by the secretary. Such registration shall set forth the name under which such person transacts business or intends to transact business, the location of his/her place of business, and such other information which would facilitate the collection of the tax as the secretary may require. The registration shall be signed by the owner, if a natural person, by a member or partner, if owned by an association or partnership, or by an executive officer, if owned by a corporation.

    (b)

    A separate registration shall be required for each place of business of an operator.

    (c)

    Should the secretary of the city commission deem it necessary in order to facilitate registration, he/she may prescribe administrative provisions therefor other than those provided in this section. Such provisions shall be made to effect the purposes hereof.
