§ 40-455. Malicious, willful or negligent damage to, destruction of, or tampering with water works prohibited; punishment.

(a)

No unauthorized person shall maliciously, willfully or negligently break, damage, destroy, uncover, deface or tamper with any structure, appurtenance or equipment which is a part of the water works including but not limited to water meters.

(b)

Any person violating this section shall be punished as provided by section 1-12 of the Municipal Code.
